too be honest i gotta think on that since i;m a bit removed from most android users. my devices are rooted and the non-root and root functionality are blurred cause it's just routine for me daily.

band selection is something i know android users can do on non-rooted devices that ios users can't.

don't know if the latest ios can share files over bluetooth. i have no problems sharing files over bluetooth to my thinkpad when syncing to the cloud aint an option or disrupting wifi connectivity.

`no real competition on browser render engines on ios. all the browsers on ios are basically reskinned safari. apple won't allow other browser developers to use their own rendering engine which means the only real competitive mobile browser development is being done on android. browsers can have their own tweaked rendering engine.

i can export my phones contacts to a .vcf file and do whatever with that file. Last i checked the only to export contacts from ios is sync to cloud or by using itunes.

Can't say that I've ever thought about band selection. Since you're rooted, having your iPhone jail broken could solve that.

Nah we can't share files over bluetooth. There may be an app for that, I'm not sure. Apple to Apple devices do have Airdrop which works over wifi, but for other devices I believe the usual cloud sharing, messaging, usb, etc... are the only options.

The browser rendering issue is definetly something I don't agree with Apple on. Basically every browser is just a wrapper for Safari.

Yea, pretty much the only way to transfer contacts is through the cloud. I use Google myself. I don't really f with iCloud like that except for my pictures and iCloud backup storage.

You're grievances are warranted. Hell I'm desperate for default apps.

I've used both extensively and for the last few years, I've had an Android phone as my daily driver.

I'll admit if you are not one that likes to tinker with shyt and you only use your phone for calls, texts, checking emails, taking pics, internet, and social media browsing then you probably are better off getting an iPhone.

I'm personally not a fan of Apple's locked down ecosystem. If I paid 1K plus for my phone let me put my apps anywhere I want on my screen. You can only put them from left to right in ascending order. SMH.

Most casual phone users don't give a shyt about 120 HZ displays, expandable memory, always on displays, running apps side by side, and a highly customize user interface. Most people just want some shyt that works. I'm in the small group of people that uses my phone as a tool and I'm a power user.

Apple has the GOAT marketing team
Those little proprietary things like blue message bubbles are genuinely more important to many people than the phone's features itself
But at least that phone will dead the idea that Androids all have bad cameras to her

I wish you luck, hopefully you can get her to see the phone beyond the absence of Apple'a proprietary apps

That actually makes sense for security reasons. But my s20 ultra is basically a high end laptop with more features
That and the fact that it works is a reason as well..

All this “tinkering” people want to do on a phone instead of what it’s used for.

my 11 pro is also like a high end laptop too... but I also have a high end laptop
