Issue started when a women reported me (guess which type?), after having a friendly convo at work. Wrote an email to admin stating I didn't help her, and she didn't feel safe dealing with one of our clients (claiming I didn't assist and she felt threatened by the client). This led to my manager digging into my charts and found a few things not done.

To make a long story short, I got put on a performance improvement pan, despite getting a good anual eval and raise just 2 months ago. What should I do?

Working in corporate is different, the only thing that you can do now is work harder.

You're pretty much going to have to kiss your managers ass, the best thing you can do is find ways to not only improve your performance but performance in the work that you do for your company, if possible especially if you're an executive.

for example with those charts not only make sure that yours is done and sent in before the time, see if you can do other charts and subtly let it be known that you're doing them.

Idk. Tbh it didn't warrant a PIP to me. If that's the case why'd Ii get a decent annual eval and raise just a month prior.

The number one lesson you can learn is to be accountable for yourself.

you mentioned “found a few things not done” and that sounds like your own doing, not hers, and not the manager’s.

I’ve been in corporate and I know it’s some bullshyt but the more you can learn to be accountable, the better.

The game is the game. If you choose to go in daily and collect them checks, gotta expect the bullshyt :yeshrug:

Why do you say? Never had this happen before. Pretty much gonna have to be under a microscope for 3 months now :( .

because most of the time, people get fired within months of getting a PIP. it's just the company making a paper trail so you don't sue.

don't get caught off guard, start looking elsewhere now.

I'm assuming you are a breh

if you are going to continue working in the corporate world you should not be having "friendly" convos with cacs just straight business and keep your work meticulous. I think your unfinished worked burned you more than anything to be honest. Never leave yourself open.

Lol when I say not done, I really mean I decided it was not needed, and in the end it wasn't needed, as it was omitted. I got dinged for not placing the proper phone call before omitting. I feel a verbal warning could have done.
