Issue started when a women reported me (guess which type?), after having a friendly convo at work. Wrote an email to admin stating I didn't help her, and she didn't feel safe dealing with one of our clients (claiming I didn't assist and she felt threatened by the client). This led to my manager digging into my charts and found a few things not done.

To make a long story short, I got put on a performance improvement pan, despite getting a good anual eval and raise just 2 months ago. What should I do?

Same thing just happened to me. Got another job paying 40k more annually.

Don't leave shyt undone and don't let anyone have to remind you to get shyt done. Keep your mouth shut and do your job. Get your money and go home.

I spend as little time as possible interacting with people in the office. If it ain't necessary, doesn't make me more money, doesn't cut-down on my workload, etc., keep that shyt to yourself.

So what do you say to ppl who say you must socialize. I work with mostly women. I actually got pestered by the assistant manager for not talking much and told I'm being to quiet. Keep in mind I usually said hey, said a few words and went to my space, but still was problem. As a worker and man, how should I handle this going forward on any new jobs?

what field u in. Cam pm if want.

I work corporate in retail. Usually those folks who we’re trying to press out under circumstances that came from their own wrongdoing..whether it’s performance related or something along those lines we put you on a CAP aka “Coaching Action Plan.”

Most usually can get off of this improving in whatever they were taking an L in, but if you’re still dropping the ball then we move you to a “Pip” and at this time your supervisor pretty much can pull that trigger on you...hence I mentioned you take your L or bow out.

Lol when I say not done, I really mean I decided it was not needed, and in the end it wasn't needed, as it was omitted. I got dinged for not placing the proper phone call before omitting. I feel a verbal warning could have done.

no beef :whoa: just going off of what you wrote

and if you aren’t the boss, you can’t determine what you feel is necessary. I’m not saying it to be mean, but I’ve been in management. When people open HR cares or things of that nature, everything is on high alert. Personal accountability is your best friend if you want to stay in a corporate setting.

The number one lesson you can learn is to be accountable for yourself.

you mentioned “found a few things not done” and that sounds like your own doing, not hers, and not the manager’s.

I’ve been in corporate and I know it’s some bullshyt but the more you can learn to be accountable, the better.

The game is the game. If you choose to go in daily and collect them checks, gotta expect the bullshyt :yeshrug:

Facts. You need to make sure that everything you do is airtight. Long held the suspicion that they allow people go get comfortable with getting away with certain things so that they can be managed out at any given time.

If you're going to stick around, play the long game. Do what you've got to do over the next 3 months and play like you're grateful as it allowed you to develop. When the time is right, deal with the snake who threw you under the bus.

I'm married so ANY interaction with women is constrained to what is necessary to complete work-objectives. I don't discuss anything personal. If/when they try and 'dig' for info, I make some sarcastic response to their question:

Female Office Clerk: Good Morning, DaFunk. What'd you and the wife get up to last night?

Me: Not much. Trained a bunch of squirrels to break into people's houses. What was your address again?

Female Office Clerk: :laff:

Dumb shyt like this enables me to never get write-ups and be considered 'friendly/valuable'. I HATE small-talk, but sarcasm allows me to say whatever I want (within reason) without getting personal and keeps non-work related conversations to a minimum.

Look for a new job. A PIP is a formality. You are about to get canned.

If it was omitted it was scrubbed from whatever chart it was supposed to go? So they want to ding you for not doing something that was erased? Nikka you shouldn't have signed shyt, and been on the phone wit a black lawyer moment you checked Gmail frfr
