Those Nets moving to Brooklyn talks were going on before Jay-Z even was apart of that shyt.....That shyt was already in the works when Jay-Z was still believing that he was gonna get a role over Denzel in American Gangster.

The move fell apart, because of the housing market crisis and the economy turning to shyt.

:rudy:
yeah... im saying it

he could have been an agent for baseball & football
YET still be able to keep his ownership of the nets

if the team was well built & had a superstar(s)
his ownership & sitting courtside with wifey >>> then making a few xtra $ for being a bball agent

He still owns those seats, he hasn't been at the games because he's been on tour for months.

He's already signed up Durant to handle his marketing, that money alone is more than his ownership stock because the share price ain't going up.

I know you hate this roster but this is goin too far. Like Jay had a printout of the roster and just went "I don't like this team, I'm gonna go be an NBA agent just because"

He had already gotten his agent license back in June, which means this had been coming for a while. This didn't just come out of the blue because he don't like Joe Johnson or some shyt.

He had like .4% ownership of the Nets...

He was just a big name that brought publicity. Jay-Z did as much for the Nets as 50 did for Vitamin Water. Which is basically nothing.

believe me homie
and this is just my own personal opinion

jay would have never did (basketball) agent if the was championship contenders

i ultimately believe he wanted to be that nikka standing next to david stern as he hoisted up the larry o'brien trophy saying biggie famous quote 'BROOKLYN WE DID IT'
the major story would have been this poor black kid who grew up blocks away in the project was able to come outta all that & bring a pro franchise back to the kings borough

thats puts his legacy on another galaxy then any other
my friend ... thats worth more than a few xtra dollars

:heh: We must of missed when the Nets value became like 40 Billion
No response of course lol

Jay fans love his CamelTales so much that they make up new ones for him. And just like Jay, they try to slide them through all casual, hoping the people will be dumb enough to believe them :russ: :smh:

being the face of the move≠ the person who made everything happen....reading is fundamental.

that Atlantic Yards development was in the works before the Nets even moved from the Meadowlands to Newark.... the housing market crisis and the recession are what really held up the project.....and Bruce Ratner admitted to such, in 2008.

jay been down with da nets since ratner brought them in '03

an their was plenty of obstacles besides the recession/housing market

  • structural -atlantic yards is a home base of many MTA trains
  • the mayor -bloomberg with his special interest alwayz looking for slice
  • dolan/knicks -obvious reasons
  • residential/commercial -several homes & businesses had to move
  • media -plenty of backlash from them
  • etc...etc...etc...

again what da fukk are u talking bout
now take ur L with dignity

nikkaz alwayz hating on :scusthov:

i was da 1st to say it...

he was the key to the whole nets moved
then
soaked all the hype & success of it
thereafter
bounced as soon as he knew they built a (flawed/wack/soft) team

This my friends is an excellent example of a delusional, uneducated post.
