One of these days I gotta give Hades a fair shake. I downloaded it and played it for about 20 minutes but it felt like a typical isometric roguelite hack n slash to me.

Why? Outside of 70% of the story it’s a completely new game.

They’re gonna give animal crossing best family game. I’m sure kotaku or one of those ‘off-beat’ gaming sites will make it their game of the year though
Why not? It's a completely different game than the original.
I personally think FF7 remake is trash, but there's no reason it cant be up there.

I didn’t like ti that much either. After the shock and awe of seeing one of my all time favorite games on a new console generation wore off (about 7 hours in) the gameplay loop of running through hallways, unnecessary additions to the story, time travel, and dull side quest started to become a drag.
They blew their entire load with the sephiroth fight at the end to the point where there’s now nothing to look forward to
I dont like these hack and slash RPGs square enix have turned the series into.
The ppl’s choice is probably Ghost, but TLOU2 was profound among mainstream game media. My choice would be TLOU2, but I’m really rooting for it just to see the meltdowns all over again 
FFVII Remake was absolutely amazing.
This "trash" talk is quite frankly insulting. That game had me in awe from start to finish

I just noticed there’s only one game up there you can play on xbox. I don’t think they had a game nominated the entire gen for GOTY

Facts. The combat was amazing, and the story was for the most part the same as the original. Nice twist at the end to keep things fresh, and keep the conversation going til part 2 drops
