:lolbron:Trump has nothing to lose he’s going to jail after this term.
Are the GOP planning to go to jail with him?

I believe he’s keeping that energy.
He is. But this is about the GOP. Is the GOP planning on going to jail with him?

Will Dems????
Let's hope the Dems and the people don't let Trump off the hook.

I see no scenario where Trump doesn’t get the wall other than thunder dome.

You're just being selfish and hoping for the worst.

So what I got from this article is that while hundreds of thousands of black families are suffering and will suffer more because the services and program that are vital to their survival are going to be cut off if this drags out any longer......

Meanwhile, a white couple in rural Utah (1 who works for a family business) who borrowed 324,000 from the government to “build their own home” while still having their jobs, has to suffer through the indignity of not being able to pay contractors because there is no way they would be able to afford it with the 40 grand a year they make combined......

I know that one makes a good story to turn people against the shutdown and the other situation would just make “fiscal conservatives” say “They serves them right for being a drain on taxpayers” but it shows the media is just as complicit as the Republicans in this long-term. I’ve seen 5 times as many (probably more) white public sector employees than blacks interviewed by networks and newspapers about being furloughed or having to work without pay. I keep hearing how it’s going to affect white people who are basically grifting the government when they more likely than not voted for this outcome.

We’ve heard them describe the gutting of social safety net programs that blacks have paid into and deserve to use as entitlement reform, when we know it’s just white people not wanting blacks to share in the same beneficial programs as them. We’ve heard them ask time and time again how are we going to pay for Medicare for All, downplay ACA until public support finally sway in favor, and still run commercial after after commercial for big pharma and insurance companies. Time and time again, the government bails out white people’s poor decision-making as black people have to consistently fight for the most minuscule of government help, and the media crafts a story of white people being burdened and overwhelmed.

Edit: She ain’t faithful to that fool. Look at that doofus.

For the good of the country this shutdown needs to last till it triggers a crash.

This is how we default on student loans. All we need is about 10% to default. Four bubbles we're popping one :wow:

Aren't the contractors more screwed than the employees?

Yes and no. The last time a shutdown affected me (contractor with legislative agencies which are funded), we still got paid. But the company took that hit since they were paying us out of pocket to basically do busy admin work that we could not charge.

It was either that or use vacation hours.

But that was a short shutdown. A long shutdown like this and I doubt companies can be able to keep paying employees out of pocket.

Atleast government workers get back pay.
