Don’t equate my status as a black citizen and a first generation American whose parents did the right thing to illegals holding the Democrats hostage.

Doing things the right way is good. I did the same in the UK, but surely you need to be honest enough with yourself to understand your bias on this subject.

It's a lot of emotion. Kinda like when you argue about Bernie Sanders.

Challenge yourself to do better.

You’re sacrificing the entire federal government over some pocket change for a wall that won’t even be built?

Over the kids of illegals temporarily getting to stay?

What do I get out of this deal?

What do you get out of this deal?
All polling shows that Republicans and Trump are being blamed for the shutdown. Again, only 29% blame House Democrats.

The longer the government stays shut down, the more Trump suffers the consequences

President Donald Trump, ever hyper-aware of how his administration plays out in the media, boiled over recently as he turned to his acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney: “We are getting crushed! Why can’t we get a deal?”

What does this story tell you and who is suffering political blowback from this shutdown?

Gaslighting. If there’s no concrete plan to have this wall built then Trump is playing this game hurting the fed workers, not Dems.

Can somebody explain to a breh who knows nothing about politics what the shutdown is about? Is it about the wall?

Basically yeah.

Congress had already agreed on a budget, but Trump watched too much FOX News one day and decided that he wouldn't sign it unless he got five billion for the wall.

Democrats said no, so here we are.

All of which is legislative action and usually has to be drafted over the course of months, plus you have no way to guarantee that it will pass in the senate or even the house. You can't get votes assured before the vote actually happens.

You're asking Democrats to make a retarded deal.
Congrats genius.

Now you see my point.

But here we are because everyone keeps kicking this can down the road.

I WARNED YOU ALL. IF YOU DONT FIX THE ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION ISSUE THEN SOMEONE LIKE TRUMP WILL END UP IN POWER AND YOU WILL HAVE TO NEGOTIATE WITH HIM.

y’all keep fukking proving my point.

There is no deal at this moment.

The only thing that should be sought, is the government to be reopened. You want a wall and other shyt, open the government. End of story.
If a fukkboy like Trump comes to you with this type of deal you already lost.

Trump knows that if all we want is some bullshyt DACA then you lost!!!

ARE YALL EVEN LOOKING AT THE CARDS YOU HAVE?!

I didn’t try to say any of that dumbass. I said SOME of those countries are closer than Mexico and they are. Stop mixing up my argument to make your argument when I can quote what I said. Mexico is a large country and 90% of the immigrants are coming from farther distances than people who live in the Caribbean. You have poor reading comprehension and you’re missing out on key facts about illegal immigration otherwise you would’ve understood what I meant. If I had just qualified my statement by saying Southern Mexico, again where 90% of these beaners are coming from, your point would be irrelevant. If it takes you 20 days to walk to the US and a boat can get there in 10 hours how is that not closer. fukking dummy :stopitslime:

i must say Trump brings racists out of their shell. Thats a good thing if nothing else.

:snooze: All this isn't based on any facts about the situation. You're just sloganeering at me.

Here are the FACTS about the situation.

About half of Americans (51%) said it would be unacceptable if the only way to end the shutdown was to pass a bill that includes Trump's requested funding for the border wall, according to a Pew Research Center poll released on Wednesday. On the other side, 29% said it would be unacceptable for the only end to the shutdown to come via a bill that does not include the president's requested funding for the wall.

Multiple other polls show similar sentiments, including a Quinnipiac University finding that 61% of voters would support a bill funding new border security measures without funding a wall, including 36% of Republicans, 78% of Democrats and two-thirds of independents.

Seven-in-ten Americans said that shutting down the federal government in order to reach an agreement on government policy is a bad strategy and only 22% thought it was a good strategy, according to a PBS NewsHour/Marist poll.

Majorities disapprove of the way Trump (61%), Republicans in Congress (60%) and Democrats in Congress (53%) are handling negotiations over the shutdown, according to Pew Research.

So again, what leverage or cards does Trump have. The longer this goes on, the worse it is for Trump. Not Democrats. You haven't provided any evidence of negative impact on Democrats besides red text and bold letters.
