AI will get to a point where it can only be used by approved businesses or government. It has the potential to completely break reality. What happens when you're arrested for a crime you didn't commit and they pull up AI generated CCTV footage and bystander cell phone footage? what happens when a politician makes the news for statements he never made, but there's a video floating around where he's talking about doing some shyt that he may have actually done?
For example, what would Joe Biden say if there's a video of him saying "I just don't like black people jack! I mean come on man, I voted for the crime bill. I was talking about corn pop from back in the day, but have you ever seen me on vacation or having dinner with black people? Have you seen me and him talking together? don't be ridiculous! I need their votes. I don't actually care about them!" or "of course I know Israel's doing a genocide. I support it! I'm the guy that said if there wasn't an Israel, we'd have to invent one to protect our interests in the region! have you ever heard me say anything bad about AIPAC? Look at my voting record! Every time it's come up I've agreed to money getting sent over there. I even went out and lied about seeing seeing dead Israeli babies! Everyone saw me doing it! All a lawyer has to do is say "Is that you in that video?" "Is that your voice?" if he says it is, but then tries to say "but I wasn't there" then a lawyer could ask "do you have any proof? because this video suggests otherwise"
Eyewitness testimony will either come back, or will be completely destroyed as a deciding factor in a court case. If AI isn't restricted, and is left to grow and become accessible to the public, it will destroy governments and societies.
