They've done so much pandering that they've boxed themselves in. Nixon or Goldwater or Eisenhower would've never said they don't believe or they're on the fence about evolution. These new age Repubs have done so much cocksucking of their retarded base that now if one if them does come out and say they believe in evolution, it would become part of the news cycle could cause problems for them in a primary.More than half of republicans don't believe it either.

Personally I don't think it would be that big of a deal. If a Massachussetts Governor who is a Mormon and flip-flopped on abortion in his 50's can get through a primary, there's no reason why someone who admits they understand biology can't. They just have no balls and are frightened to death by their base.
