I just got my reference letter submitted from my art dealer. That's 4 of the 5 references and I only needed TWO.

The last is coming from a Dean Of Undergraduates who saw my art in the museum. Once she writes about the experience of seeing my Permenant acquisitioned piece that's been on display for 4 straight years.....

How does Ai affect the need for college in this day and age..

The networks can't be built with AI. For an art grad, his professors may be the referral he needs to get into a gallery, or one of his classmates may be the child of an art agent. Even one of his no-name class mates might become the next Banksy that could be his connect.

This isn't purely an art thing. It applies to all college degrees in the age of AI. Often times people are too focused on their books to talk to the people next to them and really ask about their personal lives. Or you have the opposite side where people do socialize but they socialize with useless people.

It doesn't even need to be a particularly prestigious School. For example

I went to a no name State School, and by luck I entered a class with one of mitt Romney's grandchildren. In a different class I was accidentally paired with the son of the owner of the biggest electrical engineering firm in my state. I even used to cheat on statistics assignments with one of the kids of the Koo family (they own LG).

Seeing how i eventually went into computer engineering, my biggest regret was not keeping up with the Koo dude. The year after we bonded over probability distributions, he had just turned 20 and had to do the mandatory service for korean military. And I lost contact with him after that.

How does Ai affect the need for college in this day and age..

I maxed out my BA and can't move forward in the art world, the MFA proves my museum acquisition piece wasn't a fluke and I'm serious painter.

The MFA makes sure I'm battle tested and I am ready for NYC, which I'm definitely an btw. I'm going to a top 20 art school and it's rigourous as fukk.

I'm geauxin back not to learn how to paint as I am already dangerous, I'm geauxing back to become LETHAL.
