I hope so too. The mentality I'm bringing to the program is weaponized by military campaign of conquering. I'm King Hannibal out here and the Art World is Rome. The Graduate program is just a pitstop for training so I can continue my quest.
I'm gonna make friends, Imma socialize and Imma assist them as much as possible, but I'm also coming to compete.

I'm so ready to dominate, I got so much Imma touch on. Hell Imma build 60 panels and have them bytches ready for to geaux before school even starts. Just sit there and build, build, build.
They say they want you to work but independently and be ready for critiques. I have no kids chère or a girlfriend, so I literally can live in the studio there. Only geaux home at night sleep and then return back to work. Weekends are definitely gonna be me in the studio and reading art history and books, researching ideas and flushing them out with thumbnail sketches.
I already know what my Master Thesis will be ..the: "Visual Representation of Goddesshood in the African Diaspora American South: Vodou Goddesses Portraiture and Altar Still Life".
Gonna do 8 pieces: Each Goddess Portrait and their respective Altar.

I was gonna use the synchrony of Vodou representation of her being the stolen identity of Erzulie Dantor, a direct African Deity found prevalent in the Diaspora.
My visual compositional language would be textiles, actual biblical pages of Virgin Mary burned and Scriptures about slaves obeying masters and cross it with the thematic setting of Bois Caïman and dwellings of New Orleans bayou and swamps. Erzulie would be a live muse seated hooded with a baby breastfeeding.
The altar would would house Hoodoo spells for justice, vengeance and the Slave Holy Bible plus her totems and offerings it would be done in post neo expressionism form of cubism and primitivism with fabric, cardboard, paper of maps of transatlantic slave trade.
