Drug culture has had a significant influence on pop culture.
But let's stop putting up a front that we actually care that people are consuming drugs and further stigmatize and name all and pat ourselves on the back.
And for the record this country has had problems abusing over the counter drugs for over a decade. This is not new at all.

Me personally idgaf if someone does drugs, i think thats up to individuals.. Im just being real about it. Glamorizing lean thru rap songs has most definitely spread its use around the country. You cant deny that.
And as far as legal drugs go... We actually have a much bigger problem with them, then illegal ones.. White people never wanna talk about that tho. ODs on legal drugs is the single largest cause of accidental death in america.. Easily outnumbering all illegal drugs combined.
600,000 people or so die a year from them, but you never hear a word about it.

This was in 2008. Using cough medicine to get high is not new at all. And to solely blame the cause or uptick in abuse on rap music is so dishonest and cheap.
so what do you think caused an uptick in lean abuse, if not the rappers who reach millions of kids daily?
if celebrities arent influential why do they get paid millions to endorse products?
I was getting liquid codeine back in the late 90s breh, yea it existed... But acting like people arnt easily influenced by what they watch and listein to is just denial.
