how in the world did No Way Out win Best Rap Album Grammy over Life After Death?

No Way Out was a good album but LAD changed the game, influenced a generation of rappers, had street cred & commercial appeal.

There's no way in hell No Way Out can compete w/ LAD from lyrics to production to concept cohesion, everything

LAD is a top three to five rap album ALL TIME

It's highway robbery that BIG didn't win that Grammy

i personally don't even feel LAD is better than Biggie's debut when you talk about the impact it had at the time, and how it began to change the game.

in my opinion, LAD is a great double album that has some filler, and could've been even better as a single disc.

and i'm 33 from NY btw.

You are under 30 & didn't live those albums in the moment

LAD had the streets EVERYWHERE on lock

And you do seem biased to the Wu but BIG already killed them subliminally

And none of those albums influenced rap music the way LAD did

It's the Grammys. It was still kind of a win for Biggie though because he's on several of the songs on No Way Out and then there's "I'll Be Missing You", which is a tribute to him.
