Love that they've added Yas Marina & the Canadian GP circuits as an F1 fan. Very easy to gold those circuit experiences ... took me maybe all of five minutes.
Quick review on the Power Pack update since no one's really talking about it:
So it seems like they've added about 50 events, where they give you three car options ... the lower the car's PP, the higher your reward multiplier is. I love that they've added sort of a "race weekend", with a 60 minute practice round, 10 minute qualifying round, and then the final race. I tried the 90's Civic event, and was about 4 seconds faster per lap than the Sophy AI with the "easy" PP option. Tried using the hardest PP option, and I was about 0.5 secs slower than the leader. Qualified 3rd but finished 5th, with the first four cars within my sights and a massive gap between me and the rest of the pack behind. Won't know if that's typical until I get a few more races done.
I'll also have to start practicing starting from the grid... being used to rolling starts that 99% of the base game races use made me lose a lot of time at the very start of the race since I don't have a lot of experience otherwise.
Anyway, it seems like the higher you place, the more stars you earn, with 20 stars being your reward for first place (in addition to credits). More stars will allow you to unlock more events and rewards, which seem to be various types of roulette tickets.
Lastly, there don't seem to be many quality of life improvements with this update. I play in VR, and as far as I can tell, you still need all the displays on to know basic info like lap count and penalties. Still no way to tell whether or not you're getting a clean race bonus either.
