Doesn't need to be a RPG to be an open world game with a lot of players.
Basically when I hear GTA MMO I think of GTA Online with a more massive scale and way more developed. No RPG elements.
Keep GTA Online and SP separate. The experiences are wildly different. I don't want to have to queue up players and other dumb shyt to do missions and have fun. I rather just deal with cops and gang members, not randoms wanting to run you over for no reason.
thats the whole fun of GTA 5.. shyt the open world is more fun than the missions majority of the time.
unless you have the definitive PC version and can get new maps/missions

So basically we have a 3 year wait until the next.
I'm not bothered though because GTA for me has kinda gone stale and they've gone down the multiplayer route which has pretty much ruined the series for me. Wouldn't be surprised if the next GTA doesn't have a single player mode.

GTA online had too much of a rough start for me to end up actually caring about it. It's a shame because I always thought GTA would be dope with a strong online community.
the social commentary on American culture in the Radio programming is such a big part of the GTA series in my opinion.

I feel like I am the only one on here with no complaints about V. It was just about everything I wanted, and then some.
Online is still some of the most fun I have ever had multiplayer wise.
