Tip 1.

Make sure your program/proposal matches the priorities outlined in the grant.
Seems obvious but some people write shyt that has absolutely nothing to do with the priorities of the proposed funds.

Both! I have sample proposals for IES grants for universities are a requirement of the program I’m in. I’ll be submitting for a grant coming up.
I’ve also been on approval boards and graded a fewpeople just be pulling me in to do shyt.

I worked as a grant liaison officer for the corporation for national and community service when I was a young temp. They’re the org that funds Americorp and SeniorCorp.

95% of the game is following the directions on the application and giving the reviewer enough content that’s related to the grant so they can approve you. They want to do it. It’s easier than rejecting you and then explaining why.

Writing one isn’t as daunting as it seems. There are templates available that require just a few modifications that’ll tailor it to your pitch. Like any proposal, there’s no guarantee you’ll win the grant, but sending enough will usually secure you money at some point.

I'm 0/2 in writing them myself. Maybe it's me

They both were to help fund an international trip for my students.

The first one they awarded a teacher that was funding a trip to D.C lol

The second time they awarded a club at my school that was mainly for a trip to some colleges.

They didn't even go in the college trips

Both of my international trips took place.
