I like the Pelicans' players individually (Reke & Gordon are two of my favourite guards) but I don't like how their squad is set up. If I were them, I'd try to trade Gordon to Indiana for Granger's expiring. NOLA would get a legit 3 and Indiana would get a true 2 and PG can move to the 3 and continue to thrive. Providing that Gordon can stay healthy, it's a win for both teams.

Indiana doesn't do it.

Gordon can't stay healthy, and the team's not paying the luxury tax, so there's that.

Will we make the top 16 :lupe:

We probably make it at 16, it'll be 10 minutes of Kahn jokes, the inevitable Love trade proposal to LA or Chicago, ripping the team defensively, trashing all of the moves of the last decade, and then in the last minute they go eh, they might actually make the playoffs with this team.

I know the luxury tax implications are huge for these owners but someone like Gordon would take Indiana over the top. Too bad his knees are made of Linguine otherwise I think Indy would consider it.

They've already made it a mandate not to spend the tax. They're already paying 3 guys $13+ mil a year going forward (not including Granger obviously). They won't pay a 4th that kind of money, especially one that you can't even depend on to stay healthy AND would cost you any semblance of a bench.

Gordon/Hibbert/West/George/Hill would put them near the lux tax alone. The Pacers will not fit the bill. They'd rather let Granger go, try to keep Stephenson, and hope guys like Solomon Hill and O.J. Johnson develop nicely.

If I'm the Pellies I'd want more than Granger in that deal. Probably have to throw in Solomon Hill or something.

The Anderson/Asik makes a lot of sense for both teams.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
:what: you can say what you want about Simmons but dudes the biggest nba geek out there he watches everything

he used to know EVERY player though and kept track of all the trades, signings, etc., he was all over everything, his trade machine stuff used to make sense, he's thrown out some crazy ideas this offseason so far

he doesn't have that knowledge he usually does

he's being pulled in a million directions now tho, I def. understand it

They got on my Pelicans for the Noel trade

Just hope we get 35 wins

I get Bill's reasoning, but the Pellies will be better than the Lakers (and Bucks).
I think ppl are still holdin' on to the idea Kobe's gonna make a movie-esque comeback, next year

I don't think he's done, done, but; next year ain't it

I think Bill's Lakers ranking is him overcompensating for Kobe since he's a known Celtics fan and Laker hater. He and Jalen note every reason why the Lakers won't do shyt this year, and yet they might be a 40 win team because Kobe. It doesn't add up.

That said, Kobe trying to deal with Swaggy P will be :banderas:.

I finally looked at the Bucks depth chart, and it might just be the anticipation of seeing them on this countdown. But I'm talking myself into thinking they're a playoff team, mainly because of the SANDERS!/Ilyasova/Henson frontcourt.

Wow, Wes Johnson starting though? Who is the Lakers 4th big? Ryan Kelly :lupe:

This team has the potential to be flat out bad if Kobe or Pau get injured.
