fukking awesome reference!
Since I might not get the chance to engage in a discussion on this topic ever again lemme just say----
As someone who was paying attention to both of these dudes on the mixtape circuit in real time when Budden's "Haters" dropped in November 2002, Joe KINDA DID sound like Grafh on "Focus" and the Kelly Rowland record "Make U Wanna Stay. Especially when compared to the more straightforward punchline flow employed on most of his other freestyles/records from that time period.
I remember being surprised at the time when he dropped that line, and hoped the back and forth would have escalated from that point on, but it really never amounted to much.
I hate when people say Hey what's up with you and Joe Budden
It ain't beef cuz if it was when I saw him in person I would of snuffed him
So whatever you heard its nothin and that's that
Don't ask me if he bitin my style that's rap
Me I'm a real ass nicca and that's fact

That Shook Ones freestyle came out like a year later and was the full extent of Grafh's response. Just saying it would've been cool to hear those 2 really go at each other (a freestyle or 2 back and forth, like Budden/Ransom or Budden/Saigon) back then.

Grafh was one of the better NY mixtape rappers of that mid 00s period. He was actually distinctive and had/has an interesting flow.

Graf was always nice but rolling with Chaz alone even besides 50 and Chaz having beef probably got him all typed of blackballed
