Hell he probably could've left after his freshman year with the rest of the Duke starting 5 haircut crew. It seems like the longer you stay in college the more money you lose from getting exposed.

He’ll go end of first round early second round. Some time in the d league im sure but he will get his shot.

To answer the question yes he should have left sophomore year. Luke kennard took his shine last year and nothing is going for him right now.

Gah damn if we had Kennard right now :mjcry:

man, fukk all that noise, grayson at his best and playing at the right position can bring more to a game then both kennard and trent. Much better athlete and defender than both too (although that's not saying much). kennard and now trent have had the easiest jobs of our starting 5 the last 2 years both offensively and defensively. they've basically gotten the plays/open shots run for them last season and this season that grayson was getting as a sophomore when he was putting up 22 a game on crazy efficiency. neither has had to guard the opposing PG or SG which grayson has had to do the last 2 years. instead they both get to guard each team's worst perimeter player. Also vice versa, neither has been as regularly guarded by the opposing team's best perimeter defenders as G has. now throw in the fact that grayson has had to play out of position (and sacrificed his offense/efficiency as a result) at PG 60-70% of the time these last 2 years due to incompetent PG play first from frank jackson (dude was always a SG masking as a PG and I never wanted him on the team with G and luke already there) and now the erraticness/low IQ/poor shooting of duval. G would look completely different/dominant again playing alongside tyus all these years. shyt, i wish we still had derryck thornton for distribution and his defense, but now he's wasting away at USC.

Yeah he was being talked about as a potential 1st round pick after his freshman year after the couple of decent games he had in the tournament. But definitely after his sophomore year after showing he was the man and already having a ring he should have bounced straight for the league degree or not.

his stock was probably as high as a freshman as it was a sophomore, but if we've learned anything from any Dukie that came from that team, none of them were players outside of maybe Jones turned out to be as advertised.

I feel you. But Kennard and G worked well together. Kennard has a great year and did what G should have done last year:yeshrug:
Man we should still have frank Jackson and Kennard :mjcry: this one and done shyt for the birds

luke was a defensive sieve and gave up about as much as he put in, but they did work well together. gary similarly works well with G this year b/c G is unselfish and can locate shooters off his penetration (most of gary's 3s seem to come from assists from G and not tre). However, no one on this current team ever passes to G on a regular basis when he's open; he never used to have to take this many shots under duress. go back and look at his highlights from sophomore year compared to how we were using him earlier this year and it was the same --> running him off baseline screens, curls, and PnR w/ a big where he could penetrate or shoot the deep 3 if the defender went under the screen. it was identical and he was scoring effortlessly on super high efficiency early in the year + hitting clutch shot after clutch shot. something changed where coach K started having us force feeding the post too much, marvin became a blackhole playing for stats (and gary has started too lately as well w/ some really dumb shots), and trevon started playing recklessly for some reason. there's no reason why tre shouldn't be averaging 10+ assists on this team, grayson getting 15 shots a game, and wendell getting more touches. wendell has actually been our best/most consistent player.

Trevon Duval better leave off his HS hype because honestly he's been god awful. You know it's bad when they disable all comments on all photos on Instagram.
