I'm sort of in the same boat, I make decent money (although not quite six figures) but I drive a 2015 Civic I'm almost done paying off (and I only pay $250/mo)

Once that's paid off I might get something else (maybe a truck) but nothing over 20-25k.

New civics are in that price range.

I'm still traumatized from paying $430/month for a Jeep Grand Cherokee when I was pulling in $48k a year on top of a $900 rent back in 2005-2007 .

I remember another breh coming to me trying to figure out a way to get out of his BMW loan because the maintenance was killing him. Dude barely had the loan for a year but said he kept having problems with it.

There is only so much you can say as a loan officer without crossing the line, but you really want to tell some people to get a grip. Cars are so much more than its monthly payment.

This is why I will never buy a bmw or benz. I have a VW which is also German-made, I had constant probs and every time it cost a grip to fix it.

I can't imagine paying $80-90000 for something that hits the same pot holes and other concrete devastations as a $15,000 car. I hit a hard bump/pot hole in my Honda a couple days ago and I was mad as f. I can't imagine how I would feel if that happened in my $80,000 benz

moved to Nola las year (mid city) and sold my car cuz the roads are horrible and I realized I can walk everywhere I need to go.

yea my little brother works basic no education no skill type jobs. like valet parking and hardware chain store worker.....and bought a 2012 3 series
