Great podcast with Joe Rogan talking to Neal Brennan about Chappelle Show among other things...

For those who don't know who Neal Brennan is, he was the co-creator and co-writer of Chappelle's Show and Dave's writing partner for many years.

Its kinda long and might have already been posted. Its about a year old. But they go into what happened with him and Dave throughout the podcast, pretty interesting stuff...



Not really a fan of Rogan's as a comic but his podcasts are usually pretty good.

Neal's a funny dude and his podcast (with Moshe Kasher) called 'The Champs' is dope too.

I like Moshe Kasher. I've seen him on laugh factory clips a few times and he was funny.

Champs podcast is okay...havent listened to it in a year, the audio was too 2nd rate for me..hope they fixed their issues

Well, he must be pretty salty about it since they were partners and friends for so long.

But in the podcast I posted he says that when Dave freaked out and went to Africa lots of newspapers and other media outlets wanted to interview him and he turned them all down. That was pretty decent of him.

bruh I'm telling you, you hear ALOT Of dave's timing and humor in his stand up...it took two to make that show what it was. Can't wait for Neal to come back to DMV

Yeah. Apparently, from what he says in the podcast I posted, Comedy Central played divide and conquer with them. Basically, they wanted to pay Dave and get rid of Neal. So they started putting ideas in Dave's head saying Neal said Dave needs him to be funny and poison their relationship and that's one of the reasons things fell apart.

Also Neal said one time some producer walked up to him and said "Oh, Neal. The genius behind the man" right in front of Dave. They were just trying to play them against each other.

The Player Haters Ball was one of the funniest sketches. This line in particular has me and to this day!

Well its kind of a lie since he did do interviews (maybe he turned down shyt like TMZ or whatever) but he was going around talking some shyt. Dave checked him, and Neal has been a fly on the wall ever since

Pretty short interview. But if you look at the podcast in the OP, Neal says the beef started before that. Before Dave left. It started when renewing the 2nd or 3rd season, I'm not sure.

Like they had talks and Dave told Neal, "No, we're not partners". So this was before Dave left for Africa. They are cool now but that's why Neal said they would never work together again at the time.
