Those Chino projects are okay but I didn't love them like Deftones. I really like Team Sleep though.

Perfect Circle I've tried but aside from 3 Libras their music sounds kind of generic rock imo (don't bash me, I know people love Maynard)

I cannot stand Tesseract's vocals lol. I think Chino is one of the few vocalists in metal that can mix soft and hard vocals without sounding really lame.

Sky Harbor is the closest thing to successfully replicating the Deftones sound. If they release more stuff and it's more accessible I'm down for it.

Incubus is great. I think them along with the Deftones are good bands to show people when they want to get into rock music when coming from a hip-hop background.
