It’s deeper than the freedom of traveling and buying “toys”. Kids and daycare are expensive. Most couples have kids after buying a house and many cant afford a house these days. A lot of social relationships dissolve, you cant job hop or move around as much. Not to mention being in a constant rat race for the best schools because US education is ass.

Parenting is not for everyone so I dont blame them for opting out. Some aspects need to change in society as a whole to make having children atrractive.

The issue is that the system is also not designed to sustain people if they cant replace themselves. All yhe services and options you enjoy whilenhavjbg money are operated by people.
