is it me or people in the media actively erasing the hype on Greg Oden. Oden was the closest I seen to LeBron HYPE in HS.

Wiggins hype was there for sure. However, I think part of it is factoring in the erasure of Oden cause of bust status. Im talking aoout the amount of coverage and #sure lock superstar status that Oden was getting. Wiggins sort of emerged over a big time offseason. Oden was getting hype as a sophomore through his freshman year in college.
Yea we were hearing about OJ even when he was in 8th grade. However, by the time he became a senior Derrick Rose was getting hyped over him.
Where does OJ Mayo rank in all this ?
Oden was for sure LEGIT on his way to being a great player....
Him and Conley where the most dominant freshman duo ever....Wall/Boogie where more exciting but not as refined imo
But yeah it just sucks as a fan of the game him seeing him go down, him and LA coulda been a generational game changing frontcourt smh...

They really had 3 pieces that fit well together whose skillset didnt overlap.

Yep BRoy was that dude too, just an unlucky franchise....They bounced back drafting Dame, I remember that 13-14 team could have legit been factors in the playoffs but Wes Mathews going down fukkd everything up....
