I would have.

Of course hindsight is always 20/20
But are we really forgetting how good Oden was in college?
he carried Ohio State to the NCAA champ game
Dominated Horford and Noah the championship game as a freshman, and those two ended up being great players themselves.

Greg Oden could've been really good. Blazers rushed him and Brandon Roy back on the court. Brandon Roy shouldn't have even been allowed to play after surgery like that. Treated them like horses.

When you come to think of it, As much of a snake bitten franchise the Trail Blazers are
they've always managed to bounce back. Greg Oden and Brandon Roy could've easily set back
any typical basketball team.

Imagine the NBA with a 28 year old Oden as the best center in the league taking the mantle from a 36 year old Yao who has finally slowed down after averaging 25 and 10 for most of his career. Not to mention a still not 30 year old Andrew Bynum being a 22/12 player for the Lakers with Dwight (without the back injury) still being the freak that he was. Without these cats being injured I think we wouldn't be talking about the center position being dead and small ball would still be a niche type thing.

It still could happen.

Boogie
Embiid
Anthony Davis (Although hes a tweener)
Whiteside
Anthony-Towns

But of course with todays NBA rules solely predicated on letting players get spacing and scoring..........

Why did the Chinese team cut him? Was he injured again? Or just not very good?
Nah, it says in the article it was because the team wasn't making the playoff so they cut him before the last couple of games of the season in order to not have to pay the last month of his contract. That NFL shyt.
