Once they won the Wemby lottery, Pop said he was never gonna retire.

There’s a lot of value in having Popovich coach these players and mentor them. I think the culture he’s created there carries a lot of weight.

But I think a year or two from now he ought to transition into an executive role and let another coach implement a different offensive ideology.
