When GRODT dropped it hit with the impact of a nuke. It took over every hood every commercial radio station and united hiphop in a way we have not seen since. For crying out loud the nikka even forced how into retirement and Nas to declare hiphop is dead. Fast forward to 2012 the nikka fif doing interviews with Oprah. Let's appreciate the historic year of 2003 the year of Curtis.

I was totally riding with Em & Fif & D12 etc in the beef but

I never liked GRODT as an album much

I stopped listening to hip hop after then
and when I got back in the scene a few years later and discovered that he dissed Nas on The Massacre I was like :pacspit: @ this lil dude

(this little scenario also explains my complete lack of respect for Game, I start looking at what aftermath has been up to and discover some dude was lying up in a hospital and decided to start rapping  )

First Hip Hop album I bought, copped it from this store in Fulton Mall, great time period in NYC Hip Hop.

I love this album, classic, every track is solid, except for....

Like my style
Gotta make to Heaven
Heat, I would have to see Jimmy Irvine's reaction when he first heard that song.

As that song is a bit over the top, on the clean version of the album they removed that song all together, shock Jimmy let 50 put that on the album.

This had to be the biggest hyped album since Life after Death (For NYC).

Its sad as most likely, thanks to Ipod's and MP3 players and NYC Hip Hop being :flabbynsick: we will never see hype like that for a NYC Hip Hop artist album again.

Downloading a album off the net is not the same as going to Fulton Mall or Jamaica Ave to cop a album.

Those were my songs, not a bad album, some tracks were always a skip for me though.
