Not even trying to be a hipster, but I have always felt power of a dollar was a stronger body of work than GRODT, by far.

that's not being a hipster, it's telling the truth, his lyricism on there was stronger and he sounded way more natural on NY themed production

Are you retarded? No one still listens to MBDTF? Is that your criteria of why it's not a great album?

And how the fukk doesn't MBDTF sound like hip hop? Oh it doesn't have enough DJ Premier and Black Milk beats? get the fukk out of here

aren't you an ASAP Rocky fan? MBDTF doesn't sound like hip hop but shyt like LSD and ALLA does?

Lmao @ MBDTF being overrated and GRODT not

so much emotion flowing from your post. Relax. One at a time.

1. I'm implying that MBDTF was and still is disposable fluff. It has zero staying power.

2. It sounds like pop prog-rock fusion with some rapping. "Lost In The World" is so hip hop, huh? :russ: Nothing screams hip hop like Bon Iver.

3. LOL at mentioning DJ Premier and Black Milk. Nothing like a simple strawman for an emotional and weak argument. As though I'm judging Ye because he doesn't sound like Premo.

4. LOL at me liking everything ASAP Rocky puts out. Don't you read what I post around here? I've routinely said that the ONLY project from Rocky I feel is his mixtape. I've frequently shytted on Rocky's subsequent releases. Check my avi homie. If you're gonna attack my tastes, attack the mixtape. But come correct because that shyt is still FIRE.

5. People still play In Da Club at birthdays. Corny as that sounds. And that beat bangs. STILL. Who the fukk is bumping Runaway now? shyt was TMZ fluff.

that late 90s trackmaster sound:blessed:

Track masters got so much hate when they were in their prime, kind of how DJ Mustard gets hate now. I kind of understand it because way too often they sampled 80s R&B songs, but still, shyt was golden, to me at least

You dictate what's great by what people still play at birthday parties? What's wrong with you young man

you singled out Lost In The World like every song on MBDTF sounded like that or something. your argument couldn't be anymore weak. So Appalled doesn't sound Hip Hop? Devil In A New Dress? Dark fantasy? Runaway has a fukking 1970s drum break sample as its bass drums for Christ sakes

MBDTF incorporated Kanye's first three albums all into one. It was a flawless piece of art and had no filler. each track was an ode to something different.

"staying power" "replay value" "aged terribly" all aspects you little nikkas just started using recently to attempt to look smart when debating classic albums

just give it up, because by that logic, GRODT should be at the time of your list of overrated albums

1. No. I dictate what's great by what has replay value and staying power. At least half of GRODT has way more staying power than anything off MBTDF. And you know it, too.

2. All those songs are shyt with weak ass drums and/or non-hip hop rhythms. Who cares whether it has a 70s drum break or not? That's the type of shyt some arthouse cac would say. At the end of the day, do [and I hate to say it] Kanye bust his guns when it comes to this production shyt? No. His beats are corny on this.

3. Please don't call me 'little.' I'm probably older than you. Of course, now that I've said that, I'll get the "you out of touch" cliche and mindless remarks.

Kanye stan's are embarrassing.

Here you coli fakkits go...misusing the word "Stan" because you have no valid reasoning to engage in subjective argument....foh

50 is a hustler/businessmen that doesn't prioritize music integrity. Music is 100% business to him. You've never seen 50 big up hip hop legends that often, or aspire to seek young passionate talent. He's not really passionate for the craft itself he's just in it for the paper

Kanye is a passionate musician who grew up listening and studying Pete Rock, Premier and No ID

Two different ball games

just shut up little man

your whole argument is fukking retarded just say you don't care for Kanye because it's obvious you can't be objective in these kind of debates

GRODT more relevant than MBDTF in 2015, sure
