That as well as money laundering for his drug empire.

Why do you think Puffy and Irv Gotti could suddenly afford those big budgets?

The money that these record labels give these artists as advances don't just come from nowhere. Before an album is made the record label either directly loans the artist the money to produce and distribute their music or they look elsewhere for sponsors.

When artists don't give into these racketeering tactics they end up like 2Pac or 50 Cent.

Henchman's a piece of shyt. If you read his FBI affidavit you'd see that he's completely mental.

Yeah Groove Theory was basically Jimmy Henchman's start in the music industry. He managed them and got them signed to Epic Records, then went into business with Bryce Wilson after

Bryce also has a long history, before Groove Theory, he was in the rap group Mantronix from the 1980s. And then produced a bunch of hit records before starting up Czar Entertainment with Henchman.

Amel Larrieux is criminally underrated for how dope she is. Easily my favorite singer of the past 20 years alongside Navasha Daya of Fertile Ground.

I had read an interview from her a few years back where there supposedly was supposed to be the makings of a Groove Theory reunion, but I'll believe it when I hear it.

You are real for the Fertile Ground mention. They’re so amazing. I love her voice as well.

I LOVE Fertile Ground!! I would give anything for a Fertile Ground reunion, but unfortunately it's never gonna happen

Thankfully I had the pleasure of seeing them live at least twice before they went their separate ways. But it's become a ritual for me to listen to the "Black Is" album while walking along Cooper River during summer evenings. And they easily put on the best stage show I've ever seen.
