They played the Rays. Rays are heating up.
The last thing we need is those annoying fukks creeping up in the standings.
I just find it hard to use the word "need" in June when they're in first place, with a decent margin, despite getting swept.

Ehh, can’t get too complacent. Plenty of teams the past couple of years have stranded long margins.
I worry more about the issues with the team than the rest of the division though. There's plenty of season left, but I have no confidence in any of these other AL East teams making real runs.

Can not underestimate Tampa.
Boston regardless of their record is a threat.
That Devers trade though may save the Yanks.

I’ve said this a lot in recent years the Yankees are an easy team to gameplan against that’s why the teams that know them the best kick there ass. Can’t beat the AL East.
How does Boston always get out of these terrible contracts. The Yankees need to learn a thing or two from that.

they had guys teams wanted.
Devers was a huge deal, but SF been trying to give away their money and nobody other than Willy Adames took it (and I remember when we thought it was possible to bring Adames in and move him to 3B; he sucks now). Some guys they just weren't interested in paying and it has led to them being mid since 2018. Also, pretty sure nobody complained when Devers got moved in the clubhouse. DJ was hitting under .200 and you had the Yankee clubhouse rallying to keep him around for morale purposes.
The difference between Fenway Sports Group and Yankee Global Enterprises is that the Yankees have themselves, a piece of the YES network and 10% of AC Milan. FSG got so much other stuff, the fans feel like they got abandoned.
