Most frustrating thing about Volpe is that his errors and miscues always seem to happen late and close.

My Pops Forever RIP
Counting tonight's game, and counting the postseason, in the 411 games since 2023. Volpe has played in 405 of them

Think about that.

Cashman's politics has made this fool an untouchable, for absolutely no reason
I was about to mention this, but lemme add

for ALL the shyt the fans give Dominguez,

for ALL the shyt they give Wells,

for ALL the shyt any young guy gets when he's up here (not all because there's a healthy amount that woulda rather signed one of the SS's that was out there), nobody gets coddled more than him. For a team whose future should in theory be Judge, Cole, Rodon, Fried and then the young guys being Dominguez, Wells, Gil, you can't find a Wells shirt, a Dominguez pin, a Gil jersey, anything, but the Yankees sell Volpe merch like they're ready to die on this hill right or wrong.

I get it. Peraza sucks, but Boone and co. will start him over Jazz even if Jazz is hitting well. Give Volpe the day off tomorrow just to spare us. Pretend someone's holding MAGA Boy accountable.

Dude is an all around awful player right now. It’s offensive to watch.
Can’t hit, can’t field, can’t throw, can’t run the bases, and he’s in the lineup every day while they passed on 5 all stars for him. He’s got a .263 ops over the last 7 games. There’s legitimately nothing he does well. They’ve also got several losses this year where the margin they lost by includes unearned runs that came from his errors.

This above all else is what shows me Volpe can’t cut it at the big league level. He routinely whiffs on fastballs deep in the zone. Pitchers aren’t the least bit concerned about challenging him with simple stuff and on the rare occasion he gets ahead in the count, he starts chasing everything. Look at his previous at bat. He gets ahead 2-0 and then chases one at his shoulders and pops out to end the inning chasing a pitch in on his hands.

Watching
Judge is on his A-Rod bullshyt. Trying to force something to happen and swinging at pitches he has no business giving any attention to.
