But my Elementry/Middle and HS didn't have people of every race, it always mostly blacks and latinos for me

But people in other regions, don't feel bad, if you lived in the hood it got rough some times, stick up kids, gang hordes, etc. Luckily I never took no major L's to those situations though.

Growing up in a city that had every race in your elementary,middle and high school

Class trips to the statue of liberty,empire state building,bronx zoo,coney island etc


Remembering the day 9/11 happened and the city looking like a "day after tomorrow" movie set

KNOWING ALL OF THE SUBWAY MAPS GROWING UP HERE IS SO VITAL.

If I go somewhere, 1st thing I see is where the address is and I'll most likely know what train I gotta take to get there (pretty easy when you live in Staten Island and gotta take the ferry into Manhattan, growing up in Brooklyn I lived by the J/M/Z), but if I'm a little unfamiliar with a place I gotta go to, checking what nearby train is there is the first priority.

Right? From trying to afford everything to being resourceful, even bagging ladies. It feels like I can go to just about any other city n just off showing I'm from here.
