I'm sure Goodell has been heard everything under the sun by players, coaches and fans. He's not a liked commissioner. At all. It was never about Gruden's personal feelings towards Goodell, it was about the comments he said about women and Michael Sam.

The Raiders literally just had a player come out. The comments made the NFL look hypocritical given how they've been promoting lately. They have the END RACISM campaign, tryna have more female involvement, and the NFL is Gay. Lesbian.etc etc. They don't care about personal feelings unless it's bad for business. If they really did then it wouldn't have taken them so long to tackle these issues and Gruden would've been let go after his comments about Smith.
