In reality this whole shyt is about LeBron. On the grander scale people don't really give a fukk about the Warriors to the point you clearly think. People hopped on the Bron bandwagon not because they dislike Golden State but because of the odds against LeBron. You could replace the Warriors with the Spurs or Clippers or whoever and the situation doesn't change. LeBron is carrying this shyt on some Mayweather shyt; people care about them and their opponent is only cared about in the sense that they can beat the star.

@bxrfan @ReggieFlare @ghostwriterx @FTBS @TheKingInMe619

This thread is evidence that people do give a fukk about the Warriors (they've become the team thecoli loves to hate) - this isn't inherently tied to a LeBron storyline, as this has been a topic of discussion for most of the postseason; gaining traction during the Memphis series with this thread - http://www.thecoli.com/threads/so-how-marc-gasol-get-5-fouls-in-just-over-6-minutes-nba.317250/). Asterisk talk ('easiest title run all time' - injuries), Bogut/Draymond trash talk/"cheap" tactics, Curry being pushed as a star, entitlement, jumpshooting style, referee bias etc etc. All this shyt would still exist, even if the Cavs never made it to the Finals.

Look at all the threads created during the the Finals, criticizing/hating on the Warriors -

:merchant:

I used it as a comparison to the amount of posters that are cosigning this thread, because most of those LeBron threads created this series don't have 50-70 daps to each post do they? Smarten up. One LeBron hate thread where five people are agreeing can't equal one Warriors hate thread where 50+ people are agreeing (not applicable to all threads - just this one)

You want examples of threads during this series? Here I'll give you some -

Now list the LeBron hate threads from the last DECADE :heh:. Same nikkas been shytting on Bron since Steph was a Davidson...shiiiiiiit since before people even knew who he was. Far fewer fukks would be given if they were playing the Hawks. BTW dap monitoring is pretty sad breh :mjlol:.

Didn't I specifically say I was talking about this series nikka? Why dudes have a hard time reading?:francis:

Same fukks would be given, cause all this shyt didn't start from them playing the Cavs. Like I said - "Asterisk talk ('easiest title run all time' - injuries), Bogut/Draymond trash talk/"cheap" tactics, Curry being pushed as a star, entitlement, jumpshooting style, referee bias etc etc." - this was all before the Finals teams were even decided.

Why are you fighting tooth and nails to push this false persecution narrative for Golden State. For every 20 Lebron hate thread. nikka just look at the front page :russ:

False persecution? Oh, so all those threads I listed and all the shyt that's been said during this series/postseason is a figment of my imagination. :usure:

So things outside are this series are relevant when you decide they are huh? :francis: Does this series exist in a vacuum? Obviously not because you just said so yourself. There is no way that any amount of talk over a couple months can compare to a fukkin decade no matter how you may want to spin it breh. To sit here and act as if every team (especially when there are only 2 left) doesn't catch shyt or have their share of detractors is straight disingenuous. You got a bunch of bitter fans lashing out because their team got beat or didn't even make the dance or just taking sides for the sake of taking sides. That isn't limited to the Warriors. Nothing new or noteworthy here. And there is no way that a series featuring the Warriors and the likes of Jeff Teague, Al Horford, and Kyle Korver :mjlol: is gonna elicit anywhere near the response this series has created. They are pretty much the same squad, minus the transcendent star of course. That shyt would get 03 Nets/Spurs type treatment around here.

I never decided what the conditions were - this started because a comment was made basically stating that posters on this board were making a song and dance when LeBron said he was "I'm the best player in the world", and that posters didn't have a problem with anything concerning what the Warriors said, did or had the benefit of.

Here's the thing - which I made myself abundantly clear of at the start - I'm talking about the fact that this board was divided on who they wanted to win after Kyrie went down and even before that. It was clear from all the previous/subsequent threads being made about the Warriors; the # of posters cosigning them and the level of FE-backlash they were being treated with if they didn't win [no talk of LeBron getting an asterisk if the Cavs won].

You should know the fickle nature of this board, and that people's opinions/views/agendas can change on a whim. We're seeing it in this series/postseason, sure you have the usual suspects that have an axe to grind when it comes to LeBron, but you can't sit there and tell me that this board isn't divided on who they would rather win this series - mostly for reasons that don't concern LeBron at all. Reasons that have been the topic of discussion all postseason long.

I'm not saying that the level of hate GS are now facing on this board, is the same that LeBron has faced at his peak or been woven into a decade-long pattern of hate.

The overall backlash if the Warriors lose this series will be more severe than if LeBron loses, not simply because the Cavs are undermanned but because of all the breaks, fortunes and pushes this Warriors team has been a part of in the postseason.

To sit here and act as if every team (especially when there are only 2 left) doesn't catch shyt or have their share of detractors is straight disingenuous. You got a bunch of bitter fans lashing out because their team got beat or didn't even make the dance or just taking sides for the sake of taking sides.
See now, what you're failing to see is that in this series the proportions are similar in size. It's not a case of a select few or a small part of this board - it's practically half of the ones with an agenda to push. GS is currently the team that TheColi loves to hate; echoing ever since the Pelicans series and only been more frequent as the playoffs went on.

That isn't limited to the Warriors.
It is limited to the Warriors.

If would be more apparent, because the ones pushing this agenda against the Warriors would have 10x the numbers the Hawks detractors would have.
They are pretty much the same squad, minus the transcendent star of course. That shyt would get 03 Nets/Spurs type treatment around here.
You forgot to mention that if the Hawks made the Finals, nobody would bring up referee bias, NBA's down-our-throats pushing of their star, the all-time easy playoffs run (discrediting them at every step of the way), character/remarks breakdowns, white coach taking job of black coach, main record carrying the voice of analytics (which some of this board hates with a passion), media comparison to all-time greats, cheap/dirty tactics, entitlement, media darlings etc etc.

Because nobody would care, that's the point.

It's not limited to the Warriors because if it was:

Houston- nikkas would be bytching about Howard being a bytch and Harden flopping
Clippers- nikkas would be bytching about CP3 flopping and being overrated and not a winner but the league trying to push him and Blake being a bytch
Memphis- nikkas would be bytching about them being too slow or boring and having no real star power

Point is nikkas would be bytching about any squad that came out the west. GS is only catching shyt because they are the only team left. They didn't take any more arrows than their peers when those peers were active. You said your self this board is fickle so I am not seeing your point here.

Nah, because all of those teams were always behind in power status to the Warriors, while having less breaks and fortunes go their way. It would be a victory in its own right if either of those three teams made it into the Finals, because they'd all overcome hurdles that most thought they weren't capable of. Everyone would hold it against the Warriors if they didn't make it into the Finals. You wouldn't get half the uproar that you're currently seeing. Harden would be the only one that would come close.

As I said above, all of those topics have been in discussion for most of the postseason.

This is bullshyt. You damn very damn well the Warriors have been the team that TheColi loves to hate for most of the postseason. Whereas apart from a select few, this board loves Memphis.

Them nikkas was all catching shyt (save the Grizzlies who nobody really cared about) all season and all playoffs and that would suddenly disappear the moment they beat the Warriors? :comeon: I really think you are overrating their relevance. Look at all these threads that keep popping up left and right, they ain't about the Warriors. nikkas creating usernames to talk about Bron. Warriors ain't got sauce like that breh. They are just a convenient target. It's not even a comparison. If the Cavs won the front page would be full of threads sucking Bron off or trying to diminish the accomplishment. The Warriors would get a couple threads. Conversely if the Warriors win all you would see is "Bron is 2-4" threads with once again a couple threads for the Warriors.

Like I said, expectations for this Warriors team AND all the breaks (injuries) and fortunes (alleged refereeing bias) that have gone their way are the reasons why you can't apply the same reasoning for other teams. The same wouldn't happen to any other team. All those teams had their own hurdles that were in basic fixed position - NONE of them were as high and frequent as the ones set for the Warriors.

The very fact that there has been discussions of where this team sits all-time all throughout the season/playoffs, says it all.
I really think you are overrating their relevance.
Right, so them having a top-10 regular season record of all time, #1b offense, #1 offense and comparisons to all-time great teams were never used against them as basis for this criticism?

I just gave you 40+ threads that were created during this series, taking aim at the Warriors. Most of those LeBron threads are created by Kobe stans (some are the same poster @Swagnificent creating the same thread over and over again). Don't equate Kobe stans to the majority of the board; they just bark more than everybody else.

Again, see above.

Right now there are 8 Bron threads on the front page and 1 "the Warriors had an easy road" thread. Just like I said.
