So things outside are this series are relevant when you decide they are huh?

Does this series exist in a vacuum?
I never decided what the conditions were - this started because a comment was made basically stating that posters on this board were making a song and dance when LeBron said he was "I'm the best player in the world", and that posters didn't have a problem with anything concerning what the Warriors said, did or had the benefit of.
Obviously not because you just said so yourself. There is no way that any amount of talk over a couple months can compare to a fukkin decade no matter how you may want to spin it breh.
Here's the thing - which I made myself abundantly clear of at the start - I'm talking about the fact that this board was divided on who they wanted to win after Kyrie went down and even before that. It was clear from all the previous/subsequent threads being made about the Warriors; the # of posters cosigning them and the level of FE-backlash they were being treated with if they didn't win [no talk of LeBron getting an asterisk if the Cavs won].
You should know the fickle nature of this board, and that people's opinions/views/agendas can change on a whim. We're seeing it in this series/postseason, sure you have the usual suspects that have an axe to grind when it comes to LeBron, but you can't sit there and tell me that this board isn't divided on who they would rather win this series - mostly for reasons that don't concern LeBron at all. Reasons that have been the topic of discussion all postseason long.
I'm not saying that the level of hate GS are now facing on this board, is the same that LeBron has faced at his peak or been woven into a decade-long pattern of hate.
The overall backlash if the Warriors lose this series will be more severe than if LeBron loses, not simply because the Cavs are undermanned but because of all the breaks, fortunes and pushes this Warriors team has been a part of in the postseason.
To sit here and act as if every team (especially when there are only 2 left) doesn't catch shyt or have their share of detractors is straight disingenuous. You got a bunch of bitter fans lashing out because their team got beat or didn't even make the dance or just taking sides for the sake of taking sides.
See now, what you're failing to see is that in this series the proportions are similar in size. It's not a case of a select few or a small part of this board - it's practically half of the ones with an agenda to push. GS is currently the team that TheColi loves to hate; echoing ever since the Pelicans series and only been more frequent as the playoffs went on.
That isn't limited to the Warriors.
It is limited to the Warriors.
And there is no way that a series featuring the Warriors and the likes of Jeff Teague, Al Horford, and Kyle Korver
is gonna elicit anywhere near the response this series has created.
If would be more apparent, because the ones pushing this agenda against the Warriors would have 10x the numbers the Hawks detractors would have.
They are pretty much the same squad, minus the transcendent star of course. That shyt would get 03 Nets/Spurs type treatment around here.
You forgot to mention that if the Hawks made the Finals, nobody would bring up referee bias, NBA's down-our-throats pushing of their star, the all-time easy playoffs run (discrediting them at every step of the way), character/remarks breakdowns, white coach taking job of black coach, main record carrying the voice of analytics (which some of this board hates with a passion), media comparison to all-time greats, cheap/dirty tactics, entitlement, media darlings etc etc.
