I really don't understand. If these people are really in the "basketball community" then they would know that few teams have had as detrimental a combination of mismanagement and bad luck as the warriors from 2000 (really 1993) to this year. I'd say only Portland comes close. I watched this team suffer injury after injury, watched them constantly get high draft picks and waste them on goofy white dudes, constantly watched inept execution of inept coaching plans. I watched this team let Gilbert Arenas, one of the best draft picks they had before Curry, just go away. I watched this team trade away players just as the team started building chemistry. I watched this team suffer terrible losses, many due to biased officiating (shytty team discount).

So if you're really a basketball fan (and not a stan of a team or player), then you should be able to appreciate watching a team turn around, get a decent break of luck, get decent management, get decent coaching, and succeed. You should be able to appreciate a team not named the Spurs, Lakers, Heat, Celtics winning.

I don't even care about the incipient hatred towards my team. I'm just confused at how anybody can claim the warriors are "lucky". We've had amazingly shytty luck for two decades. Opposing players were injured? How's that new? Lakers might not have won in 2000 if Timmy wasn't injured. What player of Duncan's caliber was missing from Opposing teams? Mike Conley :JJ: ? Patrick Beverley :JJ: ?

As a real basketball fan, I've noticed a pattern. Any time a team breaks into the championship club for the first time, there's always a movement to belittle the accomplishment. We remember the infamous Spurs * that Phil mentioned. We remember the "refs" bullshyt that Heat fans still hear about from 2006. Now it's the Warriors turn I suppose. How dare a non-cannon team win a championship.

I think the "luck" talk is specifically aimed at their playoff run last year.

I bet the 2000 Kings or the 2007 Suns would've loved to have faced the Pelicans, Grizzlies, Rockets, and a injury depleted Cavs team in the Finals.

Instead, they had to go through all time great teams like the Kobe/Shaq Lakers or the prime Duncan/Ginobili/Parker Spurs.Phil Jackson...Coach Pop---teams with tremendous "championship" pedigree..in prime phsycial shape

The Warriors made it over the drawbridge and into the castle without having to slay any dragons.

And yeah, they're off to a phenomenal start, but they're built to trample over teams in the regular season.

Wouldn't be surprised if they repeat, tho.The Clippers are talented, but brittle...OKC's not as good anymore IMO..Hard to judge the Spurs during the regular season, but they're the only team that could possibly beat the Warriors.Maybe a healthy Cavs

Really, from a TEAM standpoint, the NBA is weak right now. There's a bunch of good young players, individually, but there's not any beastly TEAMS.Right now, the Warriors are sitting all alone in that category..Hopefully with the Spurs/Cavs being in que.I wanna see this Warriors team really be challenged

People hated the heat because they couldn't believe that wade and LeBron was going to be on the same team. People felt it wasn't fair to have 2 top 5 players on the same team and add in perennial all star bosh and a lot of people thought it was game over for the league.:yeshrug:

People didn't like the decision also so that the hate grow exponentially towards LeBron. Cavalier fans burning up jerseys.:lolbron:

Then you had the heat celebrating talking about winning multiple championship without ever playing a game so they added fuel to the fire. People definitely wasn't feeling that:francis:

Add in to the fact that the media kept pushing that team as if it was the Beatles.

Combine all of that up and you had the greatest villainous team in nba history. :wow:

The warriors don't even have half of those qualities to make them as hated as the heat were.:dame:

Everywhere...You never there.
I never noticed anyone hating the Warriors IRL.

I haven't either.

if anything GSW as a team is met with indifference on some :manny:

... quickly followed by "Curry was dropping buckets tho."

...crazy as this might sound I think folks irl are starting to become indifferent to Curry.

It's more of. .. "Curry got buckets.. . as usual. ":obama::manny:

as opposed to" curry got buckets !"
:gladbron:

... unless he does some pull up from half court after shaking an entire team splash kinda shyt. .. which is sad in a way. Curry epitomizes the rewards of hard work, discipline and repetition.

when the playoffs get here and if he keeps this up his" average night " will be back to:gladbron:

Nah it was because of the decision Lebron didn't come to their team and then the circus afterwards. Remember ESPN had a Heat index:mjlol: on the front page.
They have a blog like that for lots of teams. That's just the name for the heat blog. People wanted to tune in though. Feed the masses :feedme:

Nobody hates the mothafukkin Warriors :stopitslime:. Yes you have fans of teams they beat saying woulda, coulda, shouldas (like every fukkin year), but nobody hates these dudes. They don't have the Lakers or Jordan Bulls level of bandwagon dikkriding but nobody hates them.

*looks forward to someone acting like I am being literal and pointing to three nikkas on here or some dude in their stats class*

Paul Pierce tweeting after a regular season game how he took his talents to south beach :mjlol: Players telling D Wade during games he picked the wrong guy to team up with :dead: Coaches calling each other up on 3 way exchanging tips and strategies :bryan:

Like I said, true villains. Golden State may not ever face that same vitriol but they're still an enjoyable bunch to watch. I hope they go above and beyond what we were able to do.
Whoa, I don't want them to beat our 27-game winning streak...

:whoa:

Luck can only last so long. To be such a great team this year's Warriors is one of the most disrespected champions I've ever seen in the NBA.

Even in this thread u got posters discounting an NBA championship team starting 17-0 like that's something easy to do. I actually hope golden state wins it again this year so people can start crying about something else besides how "easy" this team has it.
