He probably felt being too urgent would just telegraph the throw/play. I was a WR in High School from my freshman to juniors years and our coaches would advise to that in certain situations. Hell they bench/pass on WRs for being too fast

Looking at the play, DJ had to run the route to put the deep safety into conflict. Does he sit on Rome or break on Moore. It was actually a great call, if the S sits Moore flashes across wide fukking open. Caleb just compounding that mistake by not holding another tick or hitting the check down.

That play to kmet was insane , that’s back to back weeks Caleb made crazy throws on 4th down , game on the line.

Bears finally got one , Ben Johnson needs to stop all them 4th down plays. To many times all season they left points on the board going for it on 4th. Bears also need to get edge rushers they get no pressure on qb’s
