Online distorted peoples perception of this game and honestly I can't fault the haters for that...

The singleplayer imo was very enjoyable, the story wasn't great but it kept you entertained unlike Niko's in IV whch was a complete borefest...They also pretty much fixed almost everything that was wrong with IV in terms of gameplay...but when you delay the games release 6 months because of the multiplayer and hype it through the roof it better deliver...Sadly GTA Online didn't, it was dead on arrival and easily top 5 worst hyped online games ever...I don't think there has ever been a game launch that bad, it was embarrassing...

Have they even released heists yet for online?

You could interact with every NPC in the game...It's been a while since I played V but I think you had to use the dpad to trigger the dialogue...

Lamar and Trevor were hilarious especially in missions you had them both with you...

i agree @BrothaZay

i couldn't even finish the game. The gameplay was straight trash. I didn't even bother with the online.

GTA San Andreas is still my goat. Miss CJ :to:

That's right! Only thing 5 had going for it was the graphics and presentation. But they took out way too many cool features/activities just so they can put in yoga and tennis and shyt? No no no, fail.

gta online is incredible but the story mode was way too fast and kinda sucked overall

they also didnt capture the hood good at all, i can barely find the hood in this game at all.

San Andreas captured Los Angeles way better

:childplease: You gotta appreciate the story, and the ethos. Its the concept of trying to make a quick buck vs. making a big time score, and the problems it creates. Michael wanted out of the game, which is why he betrayed Trevor, only Trevor didn't die. 10 years later he comes back, and his past comes back to haunt him almost. He was always looking for a way out because sooner or later you end up dead or in jail. Franklin wanted out of the hood and saw a chance how to do a job, with the right people and not getting capped. In the end he was faced with a difficult choice, as he was the one to decide how the end would play out; making him learn that trying to be big time has it's consequences. Trevor's story is a mixture of closure, and making amends with Michael in the end because while he was always truthfull, he realized that his temper almost got him into shyt.

As for the Villians, I liked it, as there was no one big bad. Instead it was a one-night killing spree to tie up loose ends and for everyone to retire in peace with the biggest score known in the GTA Universe.

Each villian was perfect.
  • Stretch was the example of what can happen in the hood, how people can change over time.
  • Wei Chang was the example of how new crime will eventually topple over the old regime.
  • Steve Haines was the example of how the government would gladly use it's own citizens for it's deeds.
  • Devin Weston was the example of how rich people can control people with the power of money.

The backdrop, Los Santos where shyt happens :ohlawd:
I'm glad that at least one person gets it.

I was kind of underwhelmed with the entire thing and I thought the online would come through. I honestly think next time they need to just focus on the single player and mix it up. It's getting kind of stale :sadcam:

Biggest disappointment in this game is the hand to hand combat. Seriously, i thought they would continue where GTA SA was headed, this shyt was garbage.

Also, no malls, no casino, limited indoor environments and only a few places i could rob. Im not trying to rob the fuking hair salon everyday, shouldve gave me hella jewelry stores. Not enough money in the game, not enough to spend it on.

Bring on red dead redemption 2 rockstar, we know now that GTA is just a stepping stone to greater titles. The series is dead
