GTA 6 publisher CEO thinks videogame prices are "very, very low" for what they offer

Honestly I’m sure the gaming industry as a whole is trying to be involved in the pricing of this game - it’ll basically set the standard for how much they can gouge consumers with lesser products. If Rockstar explains it as the $100 base game (as compared to $70) allows them to not murder you with a more expensive currency, then that’ll probably get normalized elsewhere. Us as a consumer should really really hope Rockstar is gracious enough to leave the price of the brick at $70 for a bit longer, as bootlicky as that sounds. They could easily reset the market, and there’s plenty of big studios that hope they do

Majority of games I won’t even drop $70 for. I still ain’t cop Spider-Man 2, waiting till I can get it for $40 or less
I’ll cop GTA 6 first day if it’s $70 tho, anything more than that and I’m waiting till it’s $50

Tbh games are worth less than they were 15 years ago.

Before say 2012 when you got a game you got a full working game. Now a days you lucky if you can play with out a day one patch or aren’t waiting on developer content.

A 40 dollar Nintendo game in 89 is 100 bucks today

An 80 dollar SNES game in 92 is 178 today

Not to mention beating the vast majority of these games in less than an hour
