What if Jason and Lucia end up being quest-giver npcs in online..or there are heists where they tag along and they turn into escort missions towards the end("Protect Jason/Lucia from gunfire!")

In today's Daily Fix: Grand Theft Auto 6's delay disappointed a lot of gamers, but probably disappointed retailers even more. Analysts at Ampere are suggesting that the delay will cost the games industry around $2.7 billion dollars. The money isn't gone, however, merely moved to next year when GTA 6 drops on May 26. Speaking of that date, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is confident that Rockstar Games can hit that date. Let's hope so—there's $2.7 billion riding on it. And finally, Nintendo will make a return to the Gamescom show in Germany this year. Nintendo skipped last year's show, but with a new console and a handful of brand new first-party games coming this year, they have plenty to show off.

Rockstar themselves have stated numerous times that the HD and 3D universe are separate. Those references were moreso Easter eggs.Even though this is true, some of the characters still exists to a degree, such as CJ on a GTA IV billboard and Madd Dogg and OG Loc records in Franklins mansion.
Similar to how the 3D era Las Venturas was featured on one of those TV shows in IV.

We will probably get them after VI since both are the only 3D locations that haven’t had a HD makeover (an HD Las Venturas would be absolutely mind blowing).Still need that HD LV and SF

He clearly says GTA 5 is when the universe splits..... Easter Eggs is one thing.... There are posters of the nikka, letters written, tags on the wall saying follow the damn train, among a host of other shyt......
If the character never existed in this universe, how in the fukk are their easter eggs about it? Games put easter eggs from previous games because it's the same universe

On the subject of Roman, there have been rumours other characters from previous games will turn up in GTA V. Dan says that no one before GTA IV will be in it – the move to HD created a schism in this fictional universe, rendering CJ, Tony and co, as mythical characters from a bygone era.
Rockstar also talked about universes during GTA 3’s anniversary q&a.
El Burro is referenced as he was also referenced in GTA 1, so it felt appropriate that he should cross “universes” – the “universes” are the worlds interpreted at different definitions, 2d, 3d and high definition, so we felt brands and radio / back ground characters would exist in both, but 3 dimensional characters would not. This is the logic (as far as it could be considered logical) behind it – so no, we don’t believe any GTA3 characters could exist in the GTA4 universe.
He’s literally saying the move to the HD universe, 4, is the schism, not 5. 5 was just the subject of the interview.
Idk if you’re just playing devils advocate or what, because there are games that reference entire other developer’s games
Easter eggs don’t necessarily mean the referenced game exists in that game’s universe.But I’m not here to take away your belief
