Stop

The Streets rock with Pooh here. He's bigger than Gucci currently and it seems Gucci couldn't play his role and fall back and reap the rewards off this... either by outbidding Gotti or releasing him

Gucci played petty to the wrong dude in the wrong time. Worked for him in past, but not this time
The mins of a fool who grew up idolizing the streets.

"The streets rock with" :laff:

Never seen a bigger backlash against a rapper since Ja Rule in 2003 :picard:
A false idol has fallen.

Said of Gucci

"He had us crashing out"

"I robbed 50 shot 2 on Gucci"like his music was a drug. Dude inhaled and got activated.

Thank the Lord this demon and his influence is being demolished. Rap culture so corny.

Yep.

If the right rapper comes out, with dope production and the right message, he can lead the black youth to the path of mental emancipation like Kanye did back in 2004.

We really need positivity back in the culture of the black youth.

"I robbed 50 nikkas and shot bout 2 nikkas on Gucci" :russ: Soundin like a Boondocks skit

Street nikkas 9-11 today

Sure sounds like it. They forever gonna be shamed for riding for Gucci and his ignorance. This is their idol committing metaphorical suicide. Post 1945 Nazi status.

I'd hazard a guess that this is the kind of take that's making street dudes say they hate when non-street dudes speak on street stuff.

From what I've seen, what street dudes are saying is that contrary to popular belief - street dudes take a lot of L's and it's all part of the game. It's part of being a "street nikka", and staying solid is the anchoring motif throughout Gucci's career and character. Gucci should have taken his L and kept it pushing. They're not saying they expected him to slide. Some say if it was them they would slide, some say nah, they woulda just taken the L and charge it to the game. Ultimately, Pooh Shiesty would have still been signed to Gucci and the statements would have come from the off-duty security guards etc. Gucci could have refused to give a statement etc. All of this by the way, seems consistent with Gucci's own preachings and teachings.

Seems like the whole "so yall wanted Gucci to endanger himself and his freedom to adhere to a code?" thing is a thing being pushed by non-street dudes to move goalposts:hubie:

This is exactly what we mean and you on point, its clear who the nikkas moving goalposts are.
What does "street dudes" even mean? There's no definition of the term. I've been lucky to where I ran the streets and came across a wide range of personalities that educated me and learned to steer clear of certain individuals roaming the streets. There's absolute scum of the earth and cats who are honourable conducting business, they are not the same. I understand your point but you seem to forget that there is no such thing as street rules that govern anything, every situation is handled according to the people involved and the risks involved. In Wop's case I completely agree with you, but that's off his stance on handling conflict. My point is that other "street dudes" are not judge and jury here when the aspect of "principles" is a wet t shirt contest for a subset of people involved in illegal business, sounds great until you run into someone that disagrees and then what? I understand crime,I don't understand crash test dummies looking for sympathy.
You can use this sliding scale with almost anything. What are the rules of marriage? What are the rules of child rearing? The "rules" are dictated by the people involved, right?

Which means that there are understood rules of engagement by the people involved. You trying too hard with this "ain't no honor amongst thieves" take.

Everything doesn't need to be written on paper for you to understood the taboo---->you know that cheating on your wife is morally wrong, it's not like adultery is a law that'll get you locked up. Even things that there are set rules on record for, like anything with a legal law set, or the rules of behavior at our places of employment, people bend and break rules and laws all the time, every day.

Which means even if its written, the results are determined by the players, eg the people involved---->even though its understood what the rules of engagement are.
Very few in the history of american violence can fix they face to call out sammy the bull. Regardless of his pen and paper ass at the end.

Ill take it a step further and ask who commenting here or in the rap world put in the work on the streets to comment on gucci street “cred” ?
Dawg there are people on here who have been in the streets. And there are rappers who have.

I will say this, the amount of people jumping online, including rappers, street guys, and non-street guys alike, who are really hurt by Gucci snitching, is kinda surprising to me.

It validates what many of you have said on here for years, that many people take these images in the music as gospel and view select artists as something beyond just artists. And its not just street guys or rappers, on my timeline are various people who never lived a criminal lifestyle a day in their lives, who are butthurt by Gucci.

So I do find the "I'm hurt" shyt to be surprising.

Didnt gucci and dior show receipts that gucci gave like 20k(10 from him, 10 from the label) on his funeral? Scar's sister didnt deny it, just did the ghetto trash shyt of "that lil money wasnt nothing".

lol fineese has kept his mouth shut on shyt and went to jail. Some street nikkas do follow that code.
Snitching is more so offered in conspiracy and drug cases, you can't snitch your way out of jail for every crime. Plus finesse got 6 years for aggravated robbery (which means serious bodily injury) , and I'm sure that was pleaded down charge. In my mind, whichever rappers are against snitches the most are the biggest snitches. Just like the super homophobic conservative preachers be the gayest ones. Which makes Boosie a gay snitch
