Tm101 is the reason trap music is big today not Gucci smh. And snow is always relevant he just been working with the wrong producers.
You cutting TI out and discrediting Gucci it's a reason he birthed a lot of these new nikkas and why they all wanna move like wop

Master P , and UGK laid the ground work Wayne Gucci Jeezy TI etc ushered in the south running rap after 06

All these new trap rappers look up to wop and I'm sure they was inspired by trap or die but u not trying give son his due

this is true and proly why he stayed around longer

I don't want this thread to think thst musically i don't rock Jeezy bc i do.

Seems like when he actually became an actual MC and got better at THAT is when his overall "it" factor started to disappear. Like his music still goes at times, it just lack that authenticity and replay value like TM101-103 had. In all honesty, it the same thing that happened to Waka as an artist.

I agree with this. He somewhat traded the charisma and adlibs for displaying more skill and people still wanted what he already had.

where all y'all getting this "Jeezy fell off" shyt at???? of course he don't sell like he did in 05, but hell who does? he still outselling his southern peers for the most part -- Ross, TIP etc, and they always get 2, 3xs the promo budget that he do, and not to mention how much more active they are on social media...u can say "jeezy fell off" and i can say "Gucci never fell ON".

Gucci influence & legacy>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Only because Gucci floods fans with shyt mixtapes and EPs ala No Limit Records 1990s style. I commend his work effort though. I listen to both but Jeezy has a more solid catalog. The Inspiration is rotating on my playlist 10 years later.

Breh not even just himself. The amount of rappers he has birthed & influenced Jeezy will never see

Agreed. But he inundate us with A LOT of bullshyt ass tracks/fillers. He is more organic than Jeezy since he remains an underground king, Jeezy had the BMF promotion launching him to mainstream. That may explain Gucci's influence because he seen as more real. Still think Jeezy has more solid albums and a better flow. A lot of Guccis shyt sounds like he wrote in on toilet paper and five minutes later went into the booth with Zaytoven. Not a breh btw. Meant to say I commend his work ethic*
