They are, they're doing this just to see how much they can get away with. I already heard nikkas say that Gucci needs to offer us discounts now, meaning that they still plan on buying their products. And yeah at this point these brands are doing shyt on purpose to go viral. People will seek out the brand because its now "edgy" temporarily. Brands don't care about black consumers because they feel we don't have enough value to their company so part of the money black folks would spend can just be taken as a loss and instead diverted into viral marketing temporarily with stunts like this.

In the 90s black brands tried to do it independently then in the mid-2000s its like everyone gave up. You had Kanye and Pharrell seeking mainstream brands and even Diddy and Hov abandoned Sean John and Rocafella respectively.
