Going against the grain on this one...anybody else think Guwop has greatly improved from his pre-2010 days? Most Gucci fans name songs from 2005-2009 as his best work, but I disagree.

One major difference is his beat selection. Pre-2010 most of Gucci's songs were on quirky, bouncy beats around 150-160 bpm, much faster than his current songs, which are usually around 130-140 bpm. This means a slower, smoother flow, which is much more listenable. Guwop over modern southern production is :wow:. He definitely did have many classics pre-2010, but I'm not gon sit here and lie, a lot of those beats during that time were trash.

You know what, I was in that other thread on this...

And got to agree, he's a workaholic who has improved in certain areas if anything.

Not sure your BPMs are right

130-140 is still fast as fukk

130-140 is not fast as fuc. I linked "Gucci 2 Times" below, it has a bpm of 140. Take a listen and tell me if this is "fast as fukk". 99% of any trap beat from 2010-now does not have a bpm over 150. Trust me bra I know this sh1t. Also linked a screenshot of a couple Gucci songs and their bpm's on the far right. Listen to any of those and tell me if its "fast as fukk".

Gucci has his classics every year.Tbh my favourites are mostly slow slappers (Zaytoven:blessed: ).Another thing is that the 2005-2007 stuff he released is mastered and mixed terrible , and fukking DJs are screaming all over the song.If he re-released this material now NODJ and mastered by today standards, shyt would be:lawd:

Ehhh... @Tall Israeli isn't exactly wrong because that Gucci 2 Times is actually a 70 BPM song. A number of Gucci songs which will be read by a computer as having really fast BPMs are slow tempo wise.

A song in the 130-140 can be fast as fukk because not every song you just half, I don't know how to put it into words but any DJ will co sign. This song is 140 BPM and it is much more up tempo than Gucci 2 Times

i would say from 2012-up to now

his music has gotten more darker

Slim Dunkin's death played a major part in this

the whole trapgod series was about murder, murder, and mo murder
