Where in the fukk are you nikkas getting the idea that section 8 housing is only in the projects from?
I was on that for some years, but I never lived in the 'jects. One place was in a neighborhood where middle-class families were abundant, another was on the good side of town, and the last one didn't become a hell hole until a few years after we moved.
...and $24,000 is more than enough to raise a regular kid. My mom pulled in a good $1600 a month with very little help from the rest of our family and still managed to see all 3 of her kids make something of themselves.
Lastly, special needs can range from something as simple as high-functioning Autism to something like Cerebral palsy; stop jumping to these broad ass generalizations. I mean, we don't even know if the kid is disabled or not and what its disability is.
