REVOLT WILL LIVE STREAM “GUCCI MANE AND FRIENDS” CONCERT
BY BRANDON BENNETT
Big Guwop has been home for a while, and it has been a party ever since. Upon his release from prison, almost every big name in the game took to social media to welcome the Trap God home. Gucci is widely regarded as one of the forefathers of trap music and is beloved by young artists for his guidance and support. Guwop collaborated with artists such as Future, Young Thug and Migos before they were household names and it is his eye for young talent that separates him from many other seasoned vets.
Atlanta’s rap scene missed his presence for almost three years, and Gucci is making up for lost time. In true Gucci Mane-like fashion, he has been on a ton of songs since his release from prison and has added a “Gucci Mane and Friends” concert to the list. REVOLT TV will exclusively livestream the concert on Friday, July 22, 2016, at 8 pm ET. The night’s festivities will begin at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA, and fans can expect special performances from Gucci and his friends.
Gucci’s homecoming concert will be his first major performance in several years and if that weren’t enough, Guwop will premiere his forthcoming studio album Everybody Looking the same day. Despite his time in prison, Gucci is focusing on his music and seems to be more determined than ever.
“I tried to put out a lot of music while I was gone so my people knew I was still here and still had something to say,” Gucci told REVOLT. “Being in federal prison wasn’t no cake walk, but it made be better. I came out even more powerful.”
Leading up to the concert, REVOLT’s coverage will begin with a countdown and, after they let you know everything about the night’s lineup, it will be time for Gucci to take the stage. Log on to REVOLT.tv/Gucci for this exclusive livestream of “Gucci Mane and Friends”and a post interview on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 8 pm ET.
