Didn't he get set up by a stripper though and 4 or 5 other nikkas,I thought that wuz the case when it first happened....Pookie Loc wuznt the only one there....we don't even know if he wuz the one who orchestrated it outta the 4 nikkas there,yet sumhow we know Jeezy sent it and orchestrated a damn hit on that man over the years with CSI the coli edition azz nikkas

a certain A town boss told me some real shyt years back....that seem to come to light
all this shyt got to do with GUCCI's bitterness over that ATLANTIC DEAL that Big Cat "made" him do .....he still owe dough to the label because some "tall isrealis" actually signed him to a 360 deal which only Big Cat benifited from.... Big Cat got catalog rights as well and also left Gucci in the RED after doing that deal...which was to clear up a lingering debt from his early days on SYS.Gucci as he says in his own words "never went platinum" on albums....and alot of that he felt was due to listening to alot of the brass at Atlantic whom tried to get him to conform to alot of thier ideas such as the Swizz Beat collabo.....at HALF THE COST...
T.I ate most of the promotional budget up, and was always a priority thier.....
after the 360 deal went sour with Atlantic...Gucci attempted to run his indy thru Atlantic...but felt he got blackballed when they declined and diverted his business over to Warner of which Atlantic is affilated.......
For some reason he points the finger at T.I who he felt could have cosigned a better situation at Atlantic....because of thier mutual friend "Clay Evans" vp of Grand Hustle who helped mediate the tension between Gucci and T.I after his comments about Tip and his wife at Birthday bash some years back.....
to add fuel to fire....T.I.P cosigning Jeezy to get that V.P job at Atlatnic just made it appear to Gucci that Tip and Jeezy are part of some coaliton to stop him from "bossing" up in the A-Town rap game....
also throw in the "gimmicky" antics of Gucci Mane's homie DJ HOLIDAY who has some issues as well with Drama and Tip...then it makes sense

GUCCI didn't leave atlantic till late 2009....the swizz track was released on WMG (warner) which distributes Atlantic...
the collabo was one that the Atlantic brass actually wanted slated on the last Atlantic release but it actually came out on his album the APPEAL : GEORGIA MOST WANTED on WARNER in 2010.....
it was GONNA BE RELEASED regardless as long as he was under the WMG umbrella (warner, atlantic)......

On a side note, of course cali loves the south. All our extended family is/was there. We grew up with southern grandparents that made it out west, while their siblings stayed down south. It wasn't uncommon for oakland nikkas to spend summers is texas, georgia, louisiana, and arkansas. Florida was rare, midwest besides ohio and kc was rare, but those 4 states... a lot of bay nikkas are connected to. My mama and her mama are from little rock, i got aunties is the A, and my grandparents on my pops side is from Columbus georgia, etc etc.
Some cities connected to the south stronger than others (oakland and richmond was the strongest that i've seen) but we've always showed love in the bay, to us the south was really where our roots are. That's why to this day, you can run into nikkas in oakland that have a strong southern accent, and some with the more proper Cali accent. Some nikkas call a car a "Core" and some say a "Cah" But even the proper nikkas say "mayne" like a south nikka
