one thing I stood out about Wayne was that his solo track was the only one that was truly solo

Clear The Set was 100% Wayne

Bout Whatever (Wayne/Turk)
Help (BG/Turk)
U Dig (Juvenile/Turk)

every track was amazing but I bet no one noticed that it indirectly foreshadowed of the future of CMR

Actually Bun B who was an a&r at cmr in the 90's would always big wayne up in interviews saying wayne was gonna take over rap someday. That was all bun b right there. Baby and slim were pushing bg who actually was the face of the label from the mid 90's til ccitg.

BG's addictions started getting the best of him around ccitg and checkmate and baby/slim started pushing wayne. It shouldnt be shocking cause that's how baby rolls. When pimp daddy started slipping bubba and slim started pushing yella boy/unlv. When lil ya lost his mind and tec 9 and yella boy got strung out while wising up bout their money, baby started pushing bg more. Wayne got strung out and baby started hyping the clones.

Not trying to be argumentative bruh. Just pointing out how shrewd beatrice and slim are with their business ya dig
