I sympathized with the Tummler character, who seemed to be the only one disillusioned with the shytty life he lived, and I think murdering cats was his way of venting his frustration. Overall though the film is pretty nihilistic and goes out of its way to make the viewer feel like shyt.

that is one of those movies that you watch only one time but it just sticks in your head and you won't forget bits of it for years.

i watch Kids every summer and one year after watching it watched Gummo, Bully, Ken Park all in the space of a few days.
just about sums up what i watched that week.
