I don't think it's as bad as it was from 2003-2010(11)...05-08 were the peak years, with guns everywhere from repos, to the real thing and most people got bagged up in the bin. 9 milli, Russian revolvers, and Uzis were the most common ones back then.
But one thing I've noticed with the youngers today is that they tend to carry a lot of machetes. And that never used to be the case and you can get mutilated for being reckless.

I've noticed this al lot the last couple of years in Glasgow. A boy wasn't just shot in Paisley a couple of months ago and there was the lads who had a shootout in a playpark, the c*nt who got shot outside a school and that shotgun attack that happened a street down from me.
We're used to gangs and knife/crossbow attacks here but guns aren't that common, the serious gangsters like the Lyons and Daniels will have them but your average thug usually can't get his hands on them.
