Someone made a thread here sharing this stat and included a poll asking "how many of you knew this before entering. Nearly 50% didn't.

We even had folk in the thread juelzing or even worse, completely rejecting the data because they couldn't believe it.

You know at first I thought it was BS until I looked into it more. Then the fact that no other race has this as number 1 death cause, none. I think it was number 3 cause for Hispanics in the bracket of 20-40. It’s a murdering epidemic going on on black people and nobody batting an eye.

I got to the gun memorial website and see real people , real people from my hometown, 90% young and black and that I know got killed by another black person. It’s sad but at this point I think we a lost cause, look at how many people in here blaming the clerk.

I agree that the clerk bears some responsibility but the lion share of the blame goes to the person who had a dispute with the clerk and then started shooting people who weren't a part of that dispute. If he wanted to hurt the cashier there were many options at his disposal but he chose to shoot and kill Black people just for being present.

If gun violence is so high in inner city black communities then how and why are guns and ammunition flowing into inner city black communities from the white community?

Why don’t you find the crime statistics in black communities that are not ghettos and projects and then compare to white communities. You’re intellectually lazy.

If the shooter had threatened to kill white customers then the clerk would have kept that door open.

He would've personally escorted them out the store, walked them to their car, opened their car door and shut it behind them, apologized said "have a nice day." And walked back into the store. But we'd rather talked about the black man.

Yes, internalized racism is certainly a huge factor in these crimes, this isn't some new revelation. The shooter saw just as little worth in the victims as the cashier did and the victims' race was factored in to the shooter's calculation.

There is no internalized racism causing crime in the black community. Black people commit socioeconomic based crime that is a direct result of systemic racism which is why when you remove cities like Chicago, Detroit, etc from black crime statistics, the crime rate is virtually zero.
The only one internalizing racism is you with your self hatred and low self esteem.
